Agriculture is a curriculum area that is recognised as a strength at St Joseph’s. All students are encouraged to extend their knowledge through participation in Singleton Beef and Land Management days, the Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza and the Upper Hunter Show. The school’s Cattle Show Team provides students with the opportunity to prepare steers and heifers for competitions throughout the year.
St Joseph’s offers a range of internal and external sporting opportunities at local, diocesan and state levels including golf, cricket, netball, tennis, rugby league, soccer, touch football, cross country, swimming, athletics and horse sports. St Joseph’s also actively participates in sport gala days across the Upper Hunter and receives specialised coaching from sporting bodies within the school.
